COVID-19: A Pandemic?

In the 2017-2018 flu season, that is, for a period of 4-5 months, equal to the one since COVID-19 appeared, in the USA almost one million people were affected, of which over 60 thousand died, ie a death rate of 6%. And this was only in the United States, not in the whole world!

At this moment, after installing the state of emergency and 4-5 months after the onset of the so-called crisis, we have almost 396 thousand infected persons and 17,500 dead people on the entire planet, which means a death rate of 4.36% worldwide. Must emphasize that this is all over the world, not just in one country!

After comparing and analyzing all the data someone please explain to me what is all this hysteria and panic and why this is a pandemic that all the media takes interest in so much, and how it is possible that the same media was not informed about it when it happened in the winter 2017-2018, when the things were far worse in just one country? Isn't that a bit strange?

The final oddity, the cherry on the top of the cake so to speak, is that after thw third week of quarantine in Italy and almost two weeks of quarantine in Spain, the number of patients in these countries does not decrease but, on the contrary, increases, as does the number of patients. deaths.

For these reasons I see myself forced to remain in my opinion: there is no justification for panic and hysteria. The fear that provokes this reaction is absolutely irrational and has no support in the statistical data!

One must contradict using the logic of the data and in order to prove their point beyond any reasonable doubt or must be unequivocally proven that the mortality rate has increased for this period in the respective countries compared to other years, in order for us to be able to compare, analyze correctly and make decisions based on the much more needed rational behavior.
